My Story

I have been fortunate enough to have had varied opportunities in the conservation industry many of which demanded a hands-on practical approach to problem solving. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on environmental management and a logical approach to overcoming challenges.

I joined Sanari because Sanari has a unique and committed team, and as a growing company, room for each employee to grow. The combination of a passionate hard-working team and the potential for personal growth was too good an opportunity to pass up.

In the businesses I invest in I look for passion and a greater purpose in the work I am involved in, Sanari and its Profit with Purpose mind-set has given my work meaning and makes it very easy to come to work every morning.

I add value by by ensuring the day to day running of Sanari is smooth and a conducive work environment for the team, I enjoy being organised. I am also able see our portfolio companies from a green perspective and assist with identifying and researching impacts.

My passion for what I do comes from my interest in how the environmental and economic industry can harmonise and create something meaningful with a positive impact as well as the enjoyment of working with people.

Before I joined Sanari I was a conservationist and environmental educator, lecturing students and teachers (or whoever would listen) on the natural world and its complexities.

Patricia has a B.Tech in Nature Conservation from Tshwane University of Technology and a MSc. in Environmental Science from the University of the Witwatersrand. She is an advisory board member for the Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa (EEASA).
